Each team and every business we work with comes with their own challenges, and their own story.

One such story in the making as we post this is our journey with Collibra. Collibra is a data intelligence and data governance company based in New York, USA. They aim to “make data meaningful” and ease out complex data management.

Currently, Moolya is working hand in hand with Collibra to provide testing expertise. Our team started with four testers and has now expanded to looking deeply into Collibra’s products like Data Governance, Shop4U, Catalogue, and overall end-to-end testing.

How are we doing it?

“Although it’s too soon to map the best parts of this journey, I can surely say that the team learns new things each day. We’ve helped plan and execute tests and identify some high quality defects which were of significant business value to Collibra, ensuring that high quality software is released to production”, says Goutham Kanade, Test Manager of the Collibra team.

The team’s major focus is on the quality of data stored and how it can be meaningful for Collibra’s customers. Currently, the team is automating tests with Selenium.

Good work always multiples

“What makes Collibra truly special for us is that they are a testament to our good work. We were suggested to Collibra by another client who was greatly impressed by our work, as the saying goes ‘good work attracts more good work’. We’re helping Collibra in setting a base for CDT and exploratory testing. We’re also demonstrating the benefits to the testers in Collibra and slowly helping them adopt our way of testing. So far, we’ve been able  to quickly gain knowledge of the product and identify gaps in the testing processes and communicate it to teams. It’s a journey I’m super excited about”, says Niveditha Narendran, Senior Exploratory Tester of the Collibra team.
